Donation, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

This policy explains how donations to MindCare Recovery Foundation are handled, including cancellation requests, refund reviews, donor communication, and responsible use of contributed support.

Last updated: April 2026

1. Purpose of Donations

Donations to MindCare Recovery Foundation help support mental wellness programs, recovery guidance, outreach activities, youth and family support, advocacy, community education, operational needs, and mission-related work.

2. Donation Accuracy

Donors are responsible for ensuring that donation details, contact information, payment amount, and billing information are accurate before submitting a donation.

3. One-Time Donations

One-time donations are generally processed immediately. Refund requests may be reviewed if there was a duplicate transaction, processing error, incorrect amount, or other reasonable issue reported promptly.

4. Recurring Donations

If recurring donations are available, donors may request cancellation of future recurring donations. Cancellation requests should be submitted before the next scheduled payment date to allow enough time for processing.

5. Refund Requests

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Approval may depend on the timing of the request, payment processor rules, administrative costs, whether funds have already been allocated, and the reason for the request.

Refund requests may be considered for:

  • Duplicate donations.
  • Incorrect donation amount entered by mistake.
  • Unauthorized transaction reports.
  • Technical or payment processing errors.

6. Non-Refundable Situations

Donations may not be refundable once funds have been allocated, committed, transferred, or used for program activities, outreach work, administrative costs, or mission-related needs.

7. Payment Processor Fees

Third-party payment processors may charge fees. Where a refund is approved, processor fees may not always be refundable depending on the provider’s policies.

8. Donor Receipts

MindCare may issue donation confirmations or receipts where applicable. Donors should keep their confirmation emails or transaction records for personal records.

9. Crowdfunding and Campaign Donations

Donations made through fundraising campaigns, crowdfunding pages, partner campaigns, or special appeals may be subject to campaign-specific conditions. Funds may be directed toward the stated campaign purpose or a closely related mission need.

10. How to Request Cancellation or Refund Review

To request cancellation or refund review, contact MindCare with your name, email, donation date, donation amount, payment reference if available, and reason for the request.
