1. Your Request Rights
You may request deletion, correction, or review of eligible personal information that you submitted to MindCare Recovery Foundation. Requests will be reviewed according to operational, safeguarding, legal, donor record, program, and accountability requirements.
2. Information That May Be Deleted
Eligible deletion requests may include:
- Newsletter subscriber information.
- General contact form submissions.
- Non-essential website inquiry records.
- Duplicate or outdated contact information.
3. Information We May Need to Keep
Some information may need to be retained for legitimate reasons, including donation records, legal obligations, safeguarding concerns, internal accountability, security logs, program records, dispute resolution, or compliance requirements.
4. How to Submit a Request
Email us with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include enough information to help us locate your record.
Please include:
- Your full name.
- Your email address used on the website.
- The type of request: deletion, correction, access, or unsubscribe.
- Where you submitted information, if known.
- Any relevant date or transaction reference, if applicable.
5. Identity Verification
To protect privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion, MindCare may request reasonable verification before acting on a data request.
6. Processing Time
MindCare will aim to review requests within a reasonable time. Some requests may take longer if they involve donation records, program records, third-party tools, backups, or additional verification.
7. Newsletter Removal
If you only want to stop receiving newsletters, request removal from the mailing list. This may be faster than a full data deletion request.
